Perfect Village Evening

Manhattan-West Village

These are a few of my favorite spots in the West Village. It's the perfect evening whether you're with old friends or meeting someone new. Enjoy dinner at one of the coziest classic restaurants in the neighborhood, followed by some jazz and a hidden (and delicious) cocktail bar.

The Pearl Oyster Bar is an original of its kind in Manhattan. It opened up in 1997 and in addition serving delicious New England inspired dishes since, it has spawned many raw bars in its fashion. The owner and Chef, Rebecca Charles opened Pearl Oyster Bar before there was a lobster roll to be found in Manhattan. She reinvented Maine’s signature sandwich and other seaside staples from fried oysters and pan roasts to lobster stew, chowders and blueberry crumble pie.

The space is cozy, comfortable and classic. It's the perfect West Village spot for friends, parents or a date.

There are a ton of great jazz clubs around the city but Fat Cat is a personal favorite. It’s a super laid back place with a number of performances throughout the evening, pool tables, and decor that loosely resembles your high school friends basement. Grab a drink and a seat on the couch and sit back and take it in.

When you're looking for a great cocktail in the Village and looking to seem a little 'extra local' head to the Garret. You enter through the Five Guy's on the block and then walk all the way to the back. There's a staircase in the back that will take you to the Garret.

Relaxed bar serving some cool cocktails like a great spicy tequila.
