JG Melon is one of those places that has been around for ever. I believe it’s been operating under the same name since the 1970’s but I’ve also heard that the location has been a bar or restaurant in some form since the 1930s. The staff is a little crusty and it’s cash only but it’s all part of the charm. Get a burger, cottage fries and a beer and enjoy a slice of old New York.
