Blue Dog was opened in 2006, named for the owner's dogs past and present. The original menu was made up of many family recipes that called for fried items with a more healthy modern twist, removing the fried aspects of the recipe and changing it to a healthier cooking method.

Today, most of the dishes are healthy and organic. Everything is made at the restaurant, never processed and never frozen. The cafe is especially known for a superb happy hour!
