Million Dollar Manhattan Views

Manhattan-Midtown West

When I'm with out of town friends most of them want to see the best views of the New York City skyline. With a city the size of New York, you have a couple of options, 1) travel to the outer boroughs or New Jersey or 2) get a ticket to visit a viewing deck at the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center or the Empire State Building.

Instead, one of my favorite local outings is to head to the west side of Manhattan. Start off with drinks and dinner in Hell's Kitchen before enjoying the views at the Press Lounge atop the Ink 48 Hotel. Hope you enjoy this night out as much as I have!

Just one block east of the Gotham Market you'll find Pio Pio's Hell's Kitchen location and some seriously delicious Peruvian cuisine. Be sure to get the chicken and all of the sauces you can get your hands on. The restaurant is also usually very loud as it's a favorite for groups, so be sure you're sitting close if you're looking at having a serious conversation.

From dinner, you're a short walk one avenue west and a few blocks north to The Press Lounge. The bar sits atop the Kimpton Ink48 Hotel. Make sure you arrive on a night when the weather is nice enough to be outside as you'll want to take advantage of the massive rooftop with sweeping views of midtown and the Hudson River. Grab a cocktail and be glad you've arrived!
