Music Food in Williamsburg

Brooklyn-Williamsburg

Music and food. Hard to think of two more important things. Fette Sau is a great place to start any outing. If you’re looking to head to the Knitting Factory (just across the street) you litterally cannot pick a more delicious and convenient spot.

Fette Sau (literally meaning fat pig) is pretty appropriately named. It’s kind of like the creators mashed up their favorite bits of barbecue culture and poured whiskey all of the top of it and then threw it on the floor of a vacant garage in Williamsburg. Yea it’s that good. Delicious food and drinks in a unpretentious place. The meat is ordered by weight and served on butcher paper. All the traditional barbecue cuts are served along with plenty of not-so-traditional things like beef tongue pastrami, pork belly, and veal heart. Smoked meat, craft beer and great whisky. Really all the important stuff.

The Knitting Factory was founded in 1987 and has since grown into a larger entertainment group with clubs and concert houses across Brooklyn, Boise and Spokane. Today there are a wide variety of shows hosted in the space but always something interesting coming through.
