If your family is like mine, they adore the Harry Potter books and movies. The New York Historical Society always has amazing exhibits on display. The museum is located in a beautiful building on Central Park West near 77th street. The New-York Historical Society was founded back in 1804. The exhibit is in celebration of the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone being published in the U.S. It contains century-old treasures including rare books, manuscripts, and magical objects from the collections of the British Library and New-York Historical Society—with original material from Harry Potter publisher and J.K. Rowling’s own archives.
Patsy’s has been around forever. At least as far back as the 1930’s. Grab a seat and order their classic old school round pie (their words not mine) and you’ll know why. Some things just don’t get old. It’s a crowd pleaser and best of all it’s located just a block south of the exhibit.
Levain is the perfect end to a perfect day. Whether you've treked across Manhattan or just finished lunch or dinner on the Upper West Side, it's always a good time for a Levain cookie. Levain is an Upper West Side landmark that serves some of the most amazingly massive and delicious cookies I've had. Grab a couple and stroll the tree lined street of your choice. Enjoy!
